H5P3O10 formülüne sahip trifosforik asit (ayrıca tripolifosforik asit), yoğunlaştırılmış bir fosforik asit formudur. Fosforik asitler ailesinde, pirofosforik asitten sonra da difosforik asit olarak da adlandırılan H4P2O7'den sonraki bir sonraki polifosforik asittir.

ATP (adenozin trifosfat) gibi bileşikler, trifosforik asit esterleridir.

Trifosforik asit, kristal formunda elde edilmemiştir. H5P3O10'a karşılık gelen genel bir bileşime sahip denge karışımı, yaklaşık %20 trifosforik asit içerir. Saf türlerin bir çözeltisi, 0 °C'de sodyum tuzu, sodyum trifosfatın iyon değişimi ile elde edilebilir.[1]

Trifosforik asit bir pentaprotik asittir, yani yeterince temel koşullarda beş proton salgılayabilir. Çeşitli pKa değerleri, 1.0; 2.2; 2.3; 5.7; 8.5,[1] 1.0; 2.2; 2.3; 3.7; 8.5[2]
