Uydu Fırlatma Sistemi

Uydu Fırlatma Sistemi (UFS), Türkiye'nin uydu başlatma kabiliyetini geliştirme projesidir. Projenin amacı ulusal uydu programlarının sürdürülebilirliğini desteklemek ve bağımsız olarak uzaya ulaşmaktır. Proje bir uzay üssünün inşası, uydu fırlatma araçlarının geliştirilmesi ve uzak yer istasyonlarının kurulmasından oluşmaktadır. 17 Temmuz 2013 tarihinde Roketsan ile imzalanmış olup proje henüz kavram öncesi tasarım aşamasındadır.[1][2][3]

UFS, 500–700 km yüksekliğe alçak yörünge uydularını fırlatma kapasitesine sahip olması ve fırlatma sisteminin altyapısının 50 milyon ABD doları, elektronik cihazların ise 50 milyon Amerikan doları olması planlanmaktadır.[kaynak belirtilmeli]
