Zav

"Şah Zav'ın Tahta Çıkışı", Büyük Moğol Şahnamesinden Folyo. 1330-1340 yılları arasında Tebriz'de yaratılmıştır.

Zaav, Zav, Zaab,[1] veya Zou (Farsça: زاو or زو) Şehnâme'ye göre İran'ın Pişdâdî Hanedanı'nın onuncu Şahıdır.[2] Nevzer'in soyundandır[1] ve yaklaşık beş yıl boyunca İran'ı yönetmiştir.

Şehname'ye göre onun saltanatı, Efrasiyab ile yapılan savaşın neden olduğu askeri suçların yaygınlaştığı bir dönemde İran'da bir adalet çağını getirmiştir. Yaygın kıtlık nedeniyle Afrasiab, savaşın bir an önce sonuçlandırılmasını istemiş ve barış karşılığında Ceyhun'un karşısındaki tüm toprakların Turan'a verildiği bir anlaşmaya varılmıştır. Hükümdarlığının geri kalanında Zav, 86 yaşında ölene kadar İran'ı yenilenen refah döneminde yönetmiştir.[3]
