Çin-Tayvan anlaşmazlığı

Çin-Tayvan anlaşmazlığı, Asya kıtasına yayılan Çin Halk Cumhuriyeti ve Tayvan adasına yayılan Çin Cumhuriyeti arasındaki hükümranlık sorunudur.[1]

Anlaşmazlığın tarihçesi

II. Dünya Savaşı sonrası Çin'de Milliyetçi Parti ile Komünist Parti arasında devam eden iç savaş,[2] 1949'da Komünist Partinin zaferiyle sona ermiştir. Tayvan adasına sığınan milliyetçi parti lideri Chiang Kai-Shek olağanüstü hal ilan ederek, adada milliyetçi parti dışında her tür partinin faaliyetlerini yasaklamıştır.[3]

Soğuk Savaş nedeniyle Batıyla tüm ilişkileri koparan Çin'i,[4] 1970'lerin başına kadar Birleşmiş Milletler'de Tayvan'daki Çin Cumhuriyeti temsil etmiştir. 1970'lerde ABD'nin Ping-pong diplomasisi sayesinde Çin ile ABD ilişkileri düzelmiş; Çin Halk Cumhuriyeti tüm Çin'i temsilen Birleşmiş Milletler'e kabul edilmiştir.

Ancak halen 23 ülke, tüm Çin'i Tayvan'ın temsil ettiğini düşünmektedir. Tayvan (Milliyetçi Çin) ile Çin bazı zamanlar savaşın eşiğine gelmiştir.[5]
