Carl Ludwig Siegel (talaffuzi: Karl Ludvig Zigel) (31-dekabr 1896 – 4-aprel 1981) – germaniyalik matematik. Analitik sonlar nazariyasi sohasi boʻyicha mutaxassis. Thue–Siegel–Roth teoremasiga hamda kvadrat formalar uchun Siegel massa formulasiga[1] qoʻshgan hissasi bilan shuhrat qozongan. 20-asrning eng muhim matematikalaridan biri hisoblanadi[2][3]. 1978-yil Wolf mukofoti bilan taqdirlangan[4].

1915-yil Berlinda Humboldt universitetida matematika, astronomiya va fizikani oʻrgana boshlagan. Universitetda Max Planck va Ferdinand Georg Frobeniusdan saboq olgan. Frobenius taʼsirida sonlar nazariyasiga qiziqishi ortgan. 1920-yil Göttingen universitetidan PhD darajasini olgan.

Siegelning sonlar nazariyasi, Diophantus tenglamalari hamda samoviy jismlar mexanikasi boʻyicha ishlari tufayli turli taqdirlan bilan mukofotlangan. Uning > 1 da egri chiziqlardagi butun nuqtalarning cheklangani haqidagi teoremasi Diophantus tenglamalarining muhim natijasi hisoblanadi. Shuningdek, olim L-funsiyalarni oʻrganib, Siegel noli tushunchasini taklif qilgan.
