Yonago (yaponcha: 米子市 Yonago-shi?) – Yaponiyaning Tottori prefekturasida joylashgan shahardir[1].

Geografiyasi

Yonago gʻarbiy Tottori prefekturasida joylashgan boʻlib, shimolda Yapon dengizi va shimoli-gʻarbda Nakaumi koʻliga qaragan. U Shimane prefekturasiga qoʻshni va uning poytaxti Matsue shahridan koʻl boʻylab joylashgan.

Etimologiyasi

Yapon tilidagi Yonago nomi ikkita kanji belgisidan tuzilgan. Birinchisi, 米, „guruch“, 子 – „bola“ degan maʼnoni anglatadi.

Hukumati

Yonago toʻgʻridan-toʻgʻri saylanadigan mer va 26 aʼzodan iborat bir palatali shahar kengashiga ega boʻlgan mer-kengash boshqaruv shakliga ega. Yonago Tottori prefekturasi assambleyasiga toʻqqiz aʼzosini qoʻshadi. Milliy siyosat nuqtai nazaridan, shahar Yaponiya Diet quyi palatasining Tottori 2-okrugiga kiradi.

Iqtisodiyoti

Yonago ishchi kuchining 70% dan ortigʻi xizmat koʻrsatish sohasida ishlaydi[3].

Oji Paper kompaniyasining Yonagoda ishlab chiqarish zavodi bor[4]. Shaharda Sharp markali tekis ekranli televizorlar ishlab chiqaradigan Sharp Yonago kompaniyasi ham joylashgan.
