非暴力示威之外,武裝團體如“果阿自由黨”(Azad Gomantak Dal,The Free Goa Party)和“果阿人聯合陣線”(the United Front of Goans)也成經發起過暴力攻擊,以削弱葡萄牙在果阿的統治。[12]印度政府支持“果阿自由黨”之類武裝團體的建立,給予全面的財政、後勤、以及軍火援助。武裝團體以印度境內的基地為依託展開行動,所有行動有印度警方掩護。通過這些武裝組織,印度政府企圖摧毀葡印境內經濟目標、電報電話線、道路、水道與鐵路運輸,以拖垮葡印境內的經濟活動,好為葡印境內人口大起義創造條件。[13]
