Beuno

Beuno adalah sejenis makhluk gaib jahat yang diyakini oleh masyarakat tradisional di provinsi Aceh. Beuno adalah setan yang mengganggu orang tidur dengan cara menindih korbannya atau dalam kultur Jawa disebut ketindihan. Gejala korban dari perbuatan beuno ditandai dengan sikorban tidur pulas dan diiringi dengan suara dengkuran yang keras, diyakini bahwa suara dengkuran itu tanda bahwa si korban sedang dicekik oleh beuno.[1] Beuno atau Buno menganggu tidur tersebut sebagai peringatan karena suka menyia-siakan makanan[2]
