Bokol (genus Lariscus) membentuk takson tupai di bawah subfamili Callosciurinae.[1] Mereka hanya ditemukan di Asia Tenggara. Spesies dalam genus ini merangkumi:
- Bokol kalimantan ( L.hosei, syn. Sciurus hockey ), endemik Kalimantan, habitat aslinya di hutan kering subtropis atau tropis. Ia terdaftar sebagai "hampir terancam" oleh Daftar Merah IUCN karena hilangnya habitat.[2]
- Bokol buut ( L. insignis ), ditemukan di Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Thailand. Terdaftar sebagai " yang paling tidak memprihatinkan " oleh IUCN.[3]
- Bokol gunung ( L. niobe ), seperti L. obscuris, hidup di hutan subtropis dan tropis Indonesia, tetapi IUCN tidak memiliki cukup data untuk menentukan status pastinya.[4]
- Bokol Mentawai ( L. obscurus ), endemik Indonesia, juga hidup di hutan kering subtropis atau tropis, dan terdaftar sebagai " hampir terancam " oleh IUCN karena hilangnya habitat.[4]
