Bonnet dipakai sebagai nama untuk berbagai penutup kepala untuk semua jenis kelamin (lebih sering perempuan) dari Abad Pertengahan sampai sekarang. Penutup kepala tersebut bermula dari Skotlandia sejak 1505, diman istilah tersebut telah lama menjadi populer.[1]
