Chasmanthium adalah genus tanaman dari Amerika Utara dalam keluarga rumput-rumputan (Poaceae).[4][5]
Anggota genus ini secara umum dikenal sebagai woodoats.[6] Salah satu spesiesnya, Chasmanthium latifolium, umum dibudidayakan.[4]
Nama generik ini berasal dari kata dalam bahasa Yunani χάσμα (chasma), yang berarti "bukaan lebar," dan ἀνθός (anthos), yang berarti "bunga."[7]
