Cheb (ˈxɛp; bahasa Jerman: Egerⓘ) adalah sebuah kota di Ceko bagian barat.

Sejarah

Sebelum tahun 1945, Cheb (Eger) merupakan ibu kota Egerland, sebuah kawasan yang berpenduduk mayoritas Jerman. Kota ini sendiri didirikan oleh bangsa Jerman. Eger menjadi Kota Kekaisaran Bebas pada abad ke-13. Pada tahun 1322, Eger digabungkan ke Bohemia. Penggabungan ini berlangsung lama, dengan sejumlah hak kekaisaran tetap dinikmati hingga tahun 1849.
