Corokia adalah genus dalam keluarga Argophyllaceae.[1] Genus ini pertama kali dideskripsikan pada tahun 1839.[2] Genus ini terdiri dari enam spesies yang berasal dari Selandia Baru, Australia, dan Rapa Iti.[3] Spesies Corokia berupa semak atau pohon kecil dengan cabang yang berkelok-kelok (divarikasi).[4] Faktanya, Corokia cotoneaster umumnya dikenal sebagai "wire-netting bush".[5] Batang semak-semak ini berwarna gelap saat dewasa, dan tertutup oleh rambut halus atau lembut (tomentum) saat masih muda.[4] Pada musim semi, tanaman ini menghasilkan kelompok bunga kuning kecil berbentuk bintang. Buahnya berupa beri berwarna merah atau kuning. Semak-semak ini lebih menyukai hutan dan daerah berbatu, sinar matahari atau naungan ringan, tanah yang cukup kering, dan penyiraman sedang.
