Ecdeiocolea adalah genus tumbuhan yang menyerupai rumput dari Australia Barat. Genus ini pertama kali didefinisikan oleh von Mueller pada tahun 1874.[1] Ecdeiocolea terdiri dari dua spesies.[2][3] Genus ini merupakan anggota dari famili kecil Ecdeiocoleaceae dan spesies tipe-nya adalah Ecdeiocolea monostachya F.Muell yang tersebar luas.

Ecdeiocolea paling berkerabat dekat secara filogenetik dengan famili graminoid Joinvilleaceae dan Poaceae. Penelitian filogenetik molekular menunjukkan bahwa Ecdeiocolea adalah takson saudara dari Poaceae.[4]
