Elektrometer adalah alat pengukur muatan listrik atau beda potensial listrik. Jenis elektrometer bervariasi, mulai dari buatan tangan hingga perangkat elektronik dengan ketepatan tinggi. Elektrometer modern yang berdasarkan pada teknologi tabung hampa atau fase padat (solid state) dapat digunakan untuk mengukur arus listrik yang sangat kecil hingga 1 femtoamper. Elektroskop adalah alat sejenis yang lebih sederhana, yang bekerja berdasarkan prinsip yang serupa, tetapi hanya menunjukkan besaran relatif voltase atau muatan listrik.
