Facebook Beacon
Beacon adalah bagian dari sistem periklanan Facebook yang mengirimkan data dari situs web luar ke Facebook yang bertujuan memungkinkan periklanan tertargetkan dan mengizinkan pengguna membagikan aktivitas mereka kepada teman-temannya. Aktivitas-aktivitas tertentu di situs rekanan diterbitkan di News Feed. Beacon diluncurkan pada 6 November 2007 dengan 44 situs web rekanan.[1] Layanan kontroversial ini, yang menjadi target tuntutan hukum kelompok, dihentikan pada September 2009.
