Santo Hugues dari Châteauneuf

Hugues dari Châteauneuf (1053 – 1 April 1132) merupakan Uskup Grenoble sejak 1080[1] hingga kematiannya. Ia adalah pendukung reformasi Gregorian dan menentang Uskup Agung Vienne, kemudian Paus Kalistus II. Hugues lahir di Châteauneuf-sur-Isère, Prancis, Hugues menunjukkan kesalehan dan fasilitas teologi sejak usia muda. Saat masih awam, Hugues dilantik sebagai kanonik Valence. Hugues dikanonisasi pada 22 April 1134 oleh Paus Inosentius II, hanya dua tahun setelah kematiannya. Kalender orang kudusnya jatuh pada 1 April di Gereja Katolik Roma.[a] Selama Perang Agama Prancis (antara Katolik dan Protestan yang diilhami oleh Yohanes Calvin, disebut "Huguenot"), anggota Huguenot membakar tubuhnya.[3]
