Humanoid
Humanoid adalah sebuah istilah yang dibentuk dari Bahasa Latin Humanus yang berarti manusia dan Bahasa Yunani -oeides yang berarti kesamaan ekspresi. Istilah ini disebutkan pada tahun 1918 untuk menunjuk kepada fosil yang dianggap dekat dengan spesies manusia tetapi sebenarnya bukan manusia, termasuk spesies yang di klasifikasikan sebagai Homo seperti Neanderthal.
Budaya pop
Dalam budaya populer humanoid muncul sebagai istilah yang merujuk makhluk dengan anatomi dan tubuh mirip seperti manusia tetapi bukan berasal dari ras manusia. Istilah humanoid kemudian lazim ditemukan dalam karya-karya dan literatur fiksi ilmiah.[1]
