Lazaret atau jegung perahu adalah area di dekat atau belakang kokpit. Kata tersebut mirip dan mungkin berasal dari lazaretto. Jegung biasanya merupakan loker penyimpanan yang digunakan untuk perlengkapan atau perlengkapan yang digunakan oleh pelaut atau kepala perahu di sekitar geladak kapal layar. [1] [2]

Biasanya ditemukan di bawah geladak cuaca di buritan kapal dan diakses melalui palka kargo (jika diakses dari dek utama) atau pintu keluar masuk (jika diakses dari bawah dek). Perlengkapan yang biasa disimpan di jegung berupa tali cadangan, layar, perbaikan layar, peralatan perbaikan penyambungan tali dan kabel, spatbor, kursi serang, balok cadangan, perkakas, dan perlengkapan lainnya.
