Joseph 'Joe' Mercer, OBE (9 Agustus 1914 – 9 Agustus 1990) adalah mantan pemain dan manajer sepak bola berkebangsaan Inggris. Joe Mercer lahir di Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, ayahnya adalah mantan pemain sepak bola dari klub Nottingham Forest dan Tranmere Rovers yang juga bernama Joe Mercer.
Joe Mercer senior meninggal dunia, karena masalah kesehatan akibat serangan gas pada perang dunia. Joe Mercer junior pada saat itu masih berusia 12 tahun[1] Setelah karier sepak bolanya berakhir, Joe junior selalu menjadi penonton setia dari Tranmere Rovers, untuk mengenang ayahnya.
