LNGTV merupakan stasiun televisi pertama di Bontang yang dulunya hanya merupakan sebuah studio biasa dengan nama Studio45. LNGTV merupakan stasiun TV lokal yang dikelola sekaligus didirikan oleh Badak NGL. Stasiun ini berdiri pada tahun 1996 tepatnya pada tanggal 16 Agustus 1996. Studio lama milik LNGTV dulu terletak di depan Recreation Hall milik Badak NGL. Studio baru LNGTV sekarang ini berada di area Town Center milik Badak NGL.
Pada tahun-tahun awal berdirinya stasiun ini (per 2003), LNGTV pernah merelai siaran TVRI Samarinda, RCTI, SCTV, dan TPI.[1] Sayangnya, LNGTV tidak bersiaran melalui terestrial kira-kira sejak awal 2020-an sampai sekarang tanpa alasan yang jelas.
