Lethe

Dalam mitologi Yunani, Lethe (bahasa Yunani: Λήθη) adalah salah satu dari lima sungai di dunia bawah. Lethe dikenal sebagai sungai kelalaian. Menurut Statios, sungai Lethe membatasi Elisian, tempat tinggal roh para pahlawan. Sedangkan menurut Ovidius, sungai ini mengalir melalui gua Hipnos.[1] Orang yang meminum air dari sungai ini akan melupakan semua masa lalunya. Dalam Aeneid karya Virgilus, roh manusia harus meminum air sungai ini sebelum bisa bereinkarnasi.[2] Lethe juga sering disebut sebagai dewi kelalaian.
