Biografi
Stedman lahir di Denver, Colorado, sebagai anak tunggal dari pasangan Marshall Stedman dan pemeran film bisu Myrtle Stedman. Stedman berkarier dalam perfilman sejak masa kecilnya dalam film-film bisu bersama dengan orang tuanya. Ia tampil dalam 81 film antara 1917 dan 1934.
