Manthan adalah sebuah film Hindi 1976 yang dibuat oleh Shyam Benegal, berdasarkan pada kisah pelopor gerakaan susu kooperatif Verghese Kurien (Bapak Revolusi Putih di India) yang menulis kerjasamanya dengan Vijay Tendulkar.[1] Film tersebut berlatar belakang terjadinya Revolusi Putih India (Banjir Operasi) yang dimulai pada 1970.

Film tersebut memenangkan Penghargaan Film nasional untuk Film Fitur Terbaik dalam bahasa Hindi pada 1977 dan Penghargaan Film Nasional untuk Permainan Latar Terbaik untuk Vijay Tendulkar, dan juga menjadi perwakilan India untuk Penghargaan Akademi Film Berbahasa Asing Terbaik pada 1976.[2]

Lagu pembukanya (dengan lirik go Mero gaam kathaparey) dinyanyikan oleh Preeti Sagar. Ia memenangkan Penghargaan Filmfare untuk Penyanyi Playback Perempuan Terbaik pada tahun tersebut. Lagu tersebut kemudian digunakan sebagai soundtrack untuk iklan televisi Amul.[3]
