Mappia adalah genus semak dalam famili Icacinaceae. Terdapat sebelas spesies (termasuk Nothapodytes Blume) yang ditemukan di Amerika Tengah, Hindia Barat, dan Asia.[1] Spesies tipe untuk genus ini adalah Mappia racemosa Jacquin. Beberapa penelitian telah menunjukkan bahwa tanaman ini memiliki khasiat antikanker yang efektif terhadap kanker payudara [1].
Leretia cordata telah dimasukkan ke dalam Mappia oleh beberapa penulis. Nama "Mappia" pernah digunakan untuk Cunila dan untuk Doliocarpus guianensis (sinonim: Soramia guianensis). Kedua penggunaan nama "Mappia" tersebut merupakan nomina rejecta.

9-Methoxycamptothecin [39026-92-1] adalah konstituen minor dari Mappia foetida Miers.[3][4]
