NGC 265 adalah gugus terbuka yang terletak di selatan konstelasi Tucana. Gugus ini terletak di Awan Magellan Kecil,[6] sebuah galaksi katai di dekatnya. Gugus tersebut ditemukan oleh astronom Inggris John Herschel pada 11 April 1834. J. L. E. Dreyer menggambarkannya sebagai, "samar, cukup kecil, bulat", dan menambahkannya sebagai entri ke-265 New General Catalogue dalam katalog miliknya.[7]
