NPOESS

National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS) adalah sistem satelit generasi Amerika Serikat 'yang akan memantau cuaca, atmosfer, lautan, tanah, dan ruang angkasa dekat lingkungan bumi. Satelit NPOESS yang menjadi tuan rumah teknologi terbukti dan versi operasional dari sensor yang saat ini sedang operasional-prototyping oleh NASA. Tanggal peluncuran Perkiraan satelit NPOESS pertama, "C1" atau "Charlie 1" adalah sekitar 2013.
