Okultasi
Okultasi adalah peristiwa yang berlangsung ketika suatu objek ditutupi oleh objek lain yang lewat di antar objek yang ditutupi dan pengamat. Istilah ini biasanya digunakan dalam ilmu astronomi, tetapi juga dapat dipakai secara umum.
Beberapa contoh okultasi dalam bidang astronomi adlah okultasi Regulus oleh Venus pada tahun 1959. Cincin Uranus ditemukan saat planet tersebut mengokultasi sebuah bintang pada tahun 1977. Pada 3 Juli 1989, Saturnus menutupi bintang 28 Sagittarii. Pluto mengokultasi bintang pada tahun 1988, 2002, dan 2006, sehingga atmosfernya dapat dipelajari.
