Open Sans adalah rupa huruf tanpa kait humanis yang dirancang oleh Steve Matteson dan dikomisikan oleh Google . Fon Ini dirilis pada 2011.

Sampai dengan Juli 2018, fon ini telah tampil sebanyak 4 miliar per hari di 20 juta situs web melalui Google Fonts.[3]

Dukungan Unicode

Karakter mengandung 897 glif, terdiri dari Huruf Latin, Yunani dan Kiril dengan jangkauan diakritik yang luas. Pada Januari 2014 perancang huruf Israel Yanek Iontef merilis sebuah fon ekstensi yang menjangkau Abjad Ibrani dengan dukungan Niqqud (namun tidak ada dukungan Kantilasi).[4] Fon ekstensi ini menjadi populer dan digunakan oleh berbagai institusi seperti Universitas Tel Aviv pada rebranding tahun 2016, juga oleh situs web Haaretz.[5]

Turunan

Open Sans mempunyai lima berat (300 Light, 400 Normal, Semi-Bold 600, Bold 700, dan Extra Bold 800), masing-masing dengan versi huruf miring dengan total sepuluh versi.
