Pada anatomi, otot maseter[help 1] adalah salah satu otot yang berperan pada pengunyahan. Hanya ditemukan pada mamalia, otot ini sangat kuat pada hewan herbivor agar memudahkan penguyahan materi tumbuhan.[5] Otot maseter sendiri merupakan otot yang tebal dan cukup kotak. Otot ini terdiri dari tiga kepala, yaitu superfisial, dalam, dan koronoid. Serat pada kepala superfisial dan dalamnya kontingen pada titik insersinya.
