Parafoil

Parafoil adalah airfoil nonrigid (tekstil) dengan struktur sel aerodinamis yang digelembungkan oleh angin. Inflasi Ram-air memaksa parafoil ke sayap klasik cross-section. Parafoils sering dibuat dari ripstop nilon.

Parafoil digunakan secara luas dalam berbagai olahraga angin seperti layang-layang terbang, parasut bertenaga, paralayang, kecepatan terbang, wingsuit terbang dan terjun payung. Layang-layang terbesar di dunia adalah parafoil-varian.
