Pellia adalah genus lumut hati yang kecil namun tersebar luas di wilayah sejuk dan beriklim sedang di belahan bumi utara. Genus ini diklasifikasikan dalam ordo Pelliales dan merupakan anggota famili Pelliaceae di dalam ordo tersebut.
Süsswassertang, tanaman yang tumbuh terendam di akuarium, pernah dianggap sebagai Pellia endiviifolia, tetapi kini diketahui sebagai gametofit yang tidak menentu dari spesies Lomariopsis, sejenis paku-pakuan. Lumut hati Pellia juga sering tertukar dengan Monosolenium tenerum, jenis lumut hati lainnya.
