Penyisipan orbit


'Orbit penyisipan (bahasa Inggris orbit insertion) adalah operasi pesawat luar angkasa yang menyesuaikan momentum pesawat ruang angkasa, khususnya memungkinkan untuk masuk ke orbit stabil sekitar planet, satelit alami, atau benda angkasa lainnya.[1] Manuver ini melibatkan baik perlambatan dari kecepatan yang melebihi masing-masing kecepatan respective body’s escape, atau percepatan dari kecepatan yang lebih rendah.

Hasilnya juga kemungkinan terdapat orbit transfer misalnya keturunan jangka orbit penyisipan. Sering kali ini disebut injection orbit.
