James Kent (lahir 1993), dikenal dengan nama panggungnya Perturbator, adalah seorang musisi synthwave Prancis dari Paris.

Perturbator dimulai sebagai gitaris di band black metal dan beralih ke musik elektronik pada tahun 2012. Musik Perturbator mencari pengaruh dari cyberpunk, video game 1980-an, dan fiksi ilmiah. [2][3][4]

Lagu "Vengeance", "Miami Disco" dan "Electric Dreams" digunakan dalam game aksi Hotline Miami. The Uncanny Valley menduduki peringkat ketiga di tangga lagu Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums pada Mei 2016. [5]

Ayahnya adalah kritikus musik dan musisi Inggris Nick Kent dan ibunya adalah jurnalis dan penyanyi Perancis Laurence Romance.
