Putranjiva adalah genus tumbuhan dari famili Putranjivaceae, yang pertama kali dideskripsikan sebagai genus pada tahun 1826. Genus ini asli dari Asia Tenggara, Anak benua India, Jepang, Tiongkok selatan, dan Nugini.[2]

Bersama dengan Drypetes (dari famili yang sama), genus ini mengandung minyak moster sebagai pertahanan kimia terhadap herbivora.[3] Kemampuan untuk memproduksi glukosinolat diyakini hanya berevolusi dua kali, yaitu pada Putranjivaceae dan Brassicales.[3]
