Sane

Sane dalam tradisi kepercayaan masyarakat Aceh disebutkan untuk sejenis roh halus atau makhluk gaib yang bersemayam di rawa-rawa, sungai dan sungai mati. Sane dipercaya hinggap pada batang kayu yang ada di tempat yang dicurigai menjadi lokasi hunian sane. Sane adalah makhluk gaib yang jahat, apabila ada orang yang menyentuh batang kayu hunian sane, maka orang itu akan merasa sakit seluruh tubuhnya hingga ke tulang-tulangnya. Rasa sakit yang diakibatkan oleh sane adalah seperti ditusuk ribuan jarum dan duri.[1]
