Sean Rad (lahir 22 Mei 1986) adalah pendiri Tinder. Rad meluncurkan Tinder pada tahun 2012, dan pada tahun 2015, Tinder menjadi aplikasi dengan pendapatan tertinggi di 99 negara. Pada tahun 2017, Tinder menjadi aplikasi dengan pendapatan tertinggi di Apple App Store.[1][2]

Rad memegang 15 paten atas karyanya, termasuk paten untuk sistem “double opt-in” Tinder, di mana pengguna harus cocok terlebih dahulu sebelum dapat bertukar pesan.[3]

Pada tahun 2017, Rad meninggalkan Tinder karena perselisihan penilaian dengan perusahaan induk Tinder, IAC/Match Group. Pada tahun 2018, Rad dan tim pendiri Tinder mengajukan gugatan senilai $2 miliar terhadap IAC. Pada tahun 2022, gugatan tersebut diselesaikan dengan pembayaran $441 juta.[4]
