Stephen James Howe (lahir 8 April 1947) adalah salah satu gitaris paling terkemuka di dunia, terutama di dunia progressive rock lewat sumbangannya di grup Yes. Ia dilahirkan di Holloway, London, Inggris sebagai anak bungsu dari 4 bersaudara dan belajar main gitar sendiri dari mendengar lagu-lagu populer saat itu.

Sebelum di Yes ia bermain di kelompok Tomorrow dan Bodast. Ia masuk formasi Yes sejak album ketiga grup itu, The Yes Album dan bertahan sampai setelah album Drama. Ia kemudian membentuk Asia bersama Geoff Downes. Lewat proyek Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe dan album Union Howe masuk kembali ke Yes dan (kecuali di album Talk) masih bercokol di sana sampai hari ini.

Ia juga aktif mengeluarkan album-album solo sejak tahun 1975.
