Stryker adalah kendaraan lapis baja pertama yang diperkenalkan ke dalam layanan Angkatan Darat Amerika Serikat sejak tahun 1980. Kendaraan serbaguna ini dapat digunakan baik sebagai pembawa infanteri atau sistem senjata mobile bersenjata dengan meriam 105 mm. Dengan kecepatan tertinggi 62 mph dan kemampuan untuk membawa sembilan tentara ditambah awak, kendaraan segala medan menyediakan baik membawa pasukan yang sangat mobile maupun senjata yang kuat di lingkungan pertempuran melawan teror.
Dengan kemampuan diterbangkan oleh C-130 Hercules, Stryker dapat mencapai zona tempur jauh lebih cepat daripada tank Abrams, yang telah dikritik karena terlalu berat dan tidak mampu mengatasi situasi off-road. Stryker telah beraksi di Irak dan Afghanistan, dan lebih dari 2.400 telah dikontrak untuk dibangun.
