Termolabil
Termolabil mengacu pada zat yang mengalami dekomposisi kimiawi atau perubahan sebagai respons terhadap panas. Istilah ini sering digunakan untuk menggambarkan zat biokimia.[1]
Termolabil khususnya digunakan dalam pengujian fungsi gen.[2]
Enzim termolabil juga dipelajari untuk aplikasinya dalam teknik replikasi DNA seperti PCR, di mana enzim termostabil diperlukan untuk replikasi DNA yang tepat. Fungsi enzim pada suhu yang lebih tinggi dapat ditingkatkan dengan trehalosa, yang membuka kemungkinan penggunaan enzim yang biasanya termolabil dalam replikasi DNA.[3]
