Throttle position sensor atau sensor posisi throttle (TPS) adalah sensor yang digunakan untuk memantau posisi throttle mobil. Sensor ini biasanya terletak pada kupu-kupu spindle/poros sehingga dapat posisi throttle secara langsung. Bentuk yang lebih maju dari sensor juga digunakan, misalnya throttle position sensor ekstra tertutup (CTPS) dapat digunakan untuk menunjukkan bahwa throttle benar-benar tertutup. Beberapa unit kontrol mesin (ECU) juga mengontrol posisi throttle kontrol throttle elektronik (ETC) atau "drive by wire" sistem dan jika itu dilakukan sensor posisi digunakan dalam umpan balik untuk mengaktifkan
