Tinmal (Berber: Tinmel atau Tin Mal, bahasa Arab: تينمل) adalah sebuah desa di pegunungan kecil di Atlas Tinggi 100 km dari Marrakesh, Maroko. Tinmal adalah tempat lahir kerajaan Barbar Muwahiddun,[1] di mana kerajaan Muwahiddun memulai kampanye militer mereka melawan Spanyol di awal abad ke-12.[2]

Sejarah

Dengan perebutan Marrakesh di 1147, Tin Mal menjadi ibu kota spiritual dan artistik pusat Kekhilafahan Muwahiddun. Desa ini adalah rumah bagi makam penguasa Muwahiddun. Di Tin Mal dirham Muwahiddun yang merupakan simbol dari kemakmuran ekonomi, dibentuk.[3]

Timah Mal Masjid

Masjid Tin Mal adalah sebuah masjid yang terletak di pegunungan Atlas Tinggi Afrika Utara. Dibangun di 1156 untuk memperingati pendiri dinasti Almohad, Muhammad bin Tumart. Bangunan tersebut adalah salah satu dari dua masjid di Maroko yang terbuka untuk non-Muslim, sedangkan yang lainnya adalah Masjid Hassan II di Casablanca. Prototipe masjid Tin Mal adalah Masjid Agung Taza, yang juga dibangun oleh Abdul Mu'min. Koutoubia di Marrakech juga mengikuti modelnya.

Status Warisan Dunia

Masjid Tin Mal telah ditambahkan ke dalam UNESCO World Heritage terhitung sejak 1 Oktober 1995 dalam kategori Budaya.[4]
