Tras

Tras batuan lunak atau lapisan tanah yang berasal dari abu gunung api. Tras biasa berwarna putih kumal sampai cokelat muda. Di Italia tras dikenal dengan nama pozzolana karena pertama kali ditambang dari daerah Pozzuoli. Tras biasa digunakan dalam campuran semen dan pasir untuk mengeraskan campuran itu. Batako dibuat dengan mencetak, kadang dengan penekanan, campuran tras dengan kapur tohor dan air.
