True Blood adalah serial drama Amerika Serikat yang dibuat oleh Alan Ball. Serial ini didasarkan pada seri novel The Southern Vampire Mysteries karangan Charlaine Harris. Serial bercerita tentang Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), seorang pelayan bar yang jatuh cinta pada seorang vampir, Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer).[1][2]
Acara ini ditayangkan di jaringan kabel premium HBO di Amerika Serikat. Acara ini diproduksi HBO dengan berkolaborasi bersama Your Face Goes Here Entertainment.[1] Acara ini pertama kali ditayangkan pada 7 September 2008.
Pada musim pertamanya, serial ini memperoleh tanggapan positif dan meraih beberapa penghargaan, termasuk satu Golden Globe dan sebuah Emmy. musim keduanya, yang meliputi 12 episode, ditayangkan sejak 14 Juni 2009. Pada 30 Juli 2009, HBO mengumumkan bahwa True Blood akan dilanjutkan pada musim ketiga,[3][4] yang mulai ditayangkan pada 13 Juni 2010. Sementara musim keempatnya akan ditayangkan pada musim panas 2011.[5]
