Unit selulase (CU) adalah satuan pengukuran untuk enzim selulase. Satu unit selulase adalah aktivitas yang menghasilkan perubahan fluiditas relatif sebesar satu dalam 5 menit pada substrat karboksimetil selulosa yang ditentukan di bawah kondisi pengujian (50 derajat Celsius, pH 4,5).[1] Selulase secara enzimatik memecah selulosa[2] menjadi berbagai heksosa, proses ini disebut hidrolisis.
