Varian Theta SARS-CoV-2

Garis keturunan P.3, juga dikenal sebagai varian P.3, VUI-21MAR-02, garis keturunan B.1.1.28.3 dan varian Filipina adalah salah satu varian SARS-CoV-2, virus yang menyebabkan COVID-19. Varian tersebut pertama kali diidentifikasikan di Filipina pada 18 Februari 2021 saat dua mutasi terdeteksi di Visayas Tengah.[1] Varian tersebut terdeteksi di Jepang pada 12 Maret 2021 saat seorang pendatang dari Filipina datang ke Bandar Udara Narita, Tokyo.[2]

Varian tersebut berbeda dari varian-varian yang mula-mula ditemukan di Britania Raya, Afrika Selatan dan Brasil, dan dianggap memiliki ancaman serupa.[3]
