Wire fu
Wire fu adalah sebuah unsur atau gaya dari sinema aksi Hong Kong yang dipakai dalam adegan pertarungan. Ini adalah kombinasi dari dua istilah: "wire work" (pengerjaan kawat) dan "kung fu."
Wire fu dipakai untuk mendeskripsikan sebuah subgenre dari film-film kung fu dimana keterampilan pemeran atau pemeran pengganti ditunjang dengan pemakaian kawat dan katrol, serta teknik panggung lainnya, biasanya untuk mementaskan adegan pertarungan dan memberikan ilusi kemampuan manusia super (atau Qinggong).[1] Ini tereksemplifikasikan oleh karya Tsui Hark, Yuen Woo-ping, dan Jet Li. Hollywood kemudian mengadaptasi gaya tersebut untuk industri film Amerika.[2] Hampir semua film wuxia modern masuk dalam kategori tersebut. Tak semua film seni bela diri memakai pengerjaan kawat.[3]
