Acidops ist eine Gattung mariner Krabben mit zwei Arten.[1] Sie bewohnen die tiefe Gezeitenzone und den Schelf in Wassertiefen bis 135 Meter im tropischen Atlantik und im tropischen Ostpazifik.[2]

Merkmale

Acidops hat die Merkmale der Acidopsinae und erreicht eine Carapax-Länge von bis zu 11 mm. Der Augenstiel verjüngt sich, die Cornea ist reduziert. Die Scheren (Chelae) haben gezahnte Schneidekanten. Der Dactylus der großen Schere hat große und kleine Zähne.[2]

Die Gattung enthält folgende Arten:[1]

Synonym ist Epimelus A. Milne-Edwards, 1878.[1]
