Actaeodes ist eine Gattung der Rundkrabben mit sieben rezenten Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln die Gezeitenzone in Tiefen zwischen 0 und 30 m im Indopazifik und in der gemäßigten Klimazone Australiens.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax ist bis zu 20 mm lang. Der hintere Seitenrand weist tiefe Einsenkungen zum Beherbergen der eingefalteten hinteren Schreitbeine auf. Der Carapax ist gekörnt oder gekielt, aber nie stachlig oder knotig. Die thorakalen Sterniten 3 und 4 sind bei Männchen über die gesamte Breite des Sternums durch eine Rinne abgegrenzt. Die Schneidekanten der Scheren sind über die gesamte Länge gezahnt, die Fingerspitzen sind abgerundet, löffelförmig oder zugespitzt.[2]

Zur Gattung gehören folgende Arten:[1]

Die Art Actaeodes xantho Lockington, 1877 gilt als fraglich (taxon inquirendum).[1]

Synonyme sind Actäa (Actäana) Klunzinger, 1913, Actaea (Actaeana) Klunzinger, 1913, Acteodes Dana, 1851 und Cycloblepas Ortmann, 1894.[1]
