- Aithon soll ein Sohn des Helios geheißen haben, der im Altertum mit Erysichthon gleichgesetzt wurde; vielleicht war es ursprünglich nur ein Beiname des Helios
- Aithon (Großvater der Antikleia), ein Urgroßvater des Odysseus
